Scottish American Society: Tour of Scotland Whisky Tasting April 10 @ 7 pm
Tour of Scotland Whisky Tasting
Scottish American Society of Dunedin
April 10, 7:00 pm
As part of a week-long celebration of Tartan Week, join us for a spectacular and exhilarating tour of Scotland and uisce beatha: the “water of life.” You will taste whisky from the rolling hills of the Scottish Lowlands, from the fast flowing waters of the River Spey; from the spectacular mountains of the Scottish Highlands to the peaty moors of the Western Isles. The landscape of these four regions of Scotland is very different, and this is well represented in the wildly different tastes of Scotch Whisky. Of course, although the whisky and food will be as fine as it ever was, the key ingredient in all our whisky tastings is the people who attend. You, who appreciate the fine varied taste of Scotch Whisky. Click here for tickets!
Haggis Celtic Concerts: Bill Mullen April 8 @ 7:30 pm

After time spent living in Aberdeen, the Netherlands and Barcelona, Bill and his wife Dorothy moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon where his friend David Maher offered him a solo gig at Maher’s Irish Pub. Since 2013 Bill has been playing full time, offering a mix of Scottish, Irish, English and American songs, plus a few of his own, and traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada. Fortunately for us, he and Dorothy now winter in Florida and we are very excited to bring them to our Scottish Cultural Center for the first time. Click here for tickets!

The Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project
Ride and Run with the Stars – The Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
For 26 years, Ride & Run With The Stars has brought the community together to participate in athletic competition, a silent auction, and a special delivery of Mr. and Mrs. Claus via helicopter. We look forward to this holiday fundraiser every year, which is why the decision to cancel this year’s event was a difficult one. However, we must consider the health and safety of our community during these trying times.
Despite not having an in-person event, I hope you will continue to support Ride & Run With The Stars’ charity—the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project. Last year, we raised enough money to provide food, clothing, books, and toys to more than 384 underprivileged families and 862 deserving children whom sheriff’s office members identified through their daily interaction in the community as homeless, economically stressed, victimized, or abused. Here are a few ways you can support the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project by December 1st:
- Mail your check made payable to Ride & Run With The Stars to P.O. Box 2500, Largo, FL 33779 Attn: Sergeant Elizabeth Brady
- Make an electronic payment at https://www.rideandrunwiththestars.com/
- Adopt a family by contacting Sandra Garcia-Olivares, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Victim Advocate, at sgarcia-olivares@pcsonet.com or 727-582-6465
No matter the size, every contribution is valuable and a treasured holiday gift to the less fortunate families in our community, especially after this challenging year.
