Dunedin Garden Club Earth Day Events

The Dunedin Garden Club will be joining with other organizations and individuals worldwide to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 21st, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, at the Butterfly Garden at the Dunedin Public Library.  They will work with Dunedin Girl Scout Troop #60948 to spruce up the Butterfly Garden and release butterflies into the garden when completed.  There will be storytelling for young children with cookies and lemonade and a gift-basket silent auction.

The Dunedin Garden Club was organized in 1929 and is a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. They meet on the first Saturday of each month at 1:00 pm, at the Dunedin Public Library. Their meetings feature guest speakers on topics of interest to gardeners and environmentalists, and the public is invited to attend. Their members maintain the Butterfly Garden at the Dunedin Public Library, hold an annual plant sale and contribute to other beautification projects in the community.

The library is  located 223 Douglas Ave, Dunedin FL 34698.  For more information about the Earth Day event or Garden Club meetings visit their Facebook page, call 727-734-7576 or email dunedingardenclub@yahoo.com.
