Dunedin Metal Artist Featured on History Channel

The Institute for Creative Arts, at 968 Douglas Ave., is most well known for the creative custom bicycle racks found around Dunedin, including the “Squid” bike rack commissioned by DCO in 2015. Recently, their resident artist blade smith, Francesco Muci, was selected to appear on The History Channels newest hit show “Forged in Fire”. Francesco specializes in custom knifes and “Damascus Steel”

Francesco flew to New York for the show’s filming last week. He competed against three other knife makers for a chance to win $10,000 and will be highlighted by the History Channel. The show will be aired, nationally, sometime in the next few months.

Classes in knife and blade forging are held at The Institute for Creative Arts, Dunedin Fl. Enroll with our partners, Dunedin Fine Art Center. They can be contacted by calling 727-298-3322 or at www.dfac.org.
