Now in its 44th year, the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Garden Party will be held on April 21, 2024, from 5 p.m. to sunset at the waterfront home of one of our generous patrons located on Bayshore Boulevard in Dunedin.

This year’s theme, “Blue Bayou,” celebrates Dunedin’s Mission Blue Hope Spot designation. As has been a tradition for many years, the Garden Party will be held outdoors along the water’s edge with a breathtaking ocean view. Guests will enjoy a wonderful selection of curated bites provided by several local restaurants, a top-shelf open bar, artworks available for silent auction bidding, and a brief yet exceptional live auction for a chance to win exotic trips and experiences!

Sponsorship Opportunities

Co-chairs Steve and Marie Beaty, longtime supporters, emphasize the event’s significance. Their contributions and those of other donors enable DFAC to offer outstanding and award-winning programs year after year that include exhibitions, adult and youth education programs seven days a week, and so much more.

Your support ensures DFAC’s legacy for future generations. Through your support of the Garden Party, one of the foundations of DFAC, you are helping to ensure the programs and exhibits at DFAC can be experienced and enjoyed for generations to come. Scottish American Society of Dunedin Celtic Concert Series – House of Hamill

Rose Baldino and Brian Buchanan first found themselves onstage together at the 2014 Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City. Rose’s band, Burning Bridget Cleary, was scheduled to perform, but inclement weather prevented two of her bandmates from flying. Desperate to salvage the showcase, Rose approached Brian, who she knew fronted Canadian Celtic rock band Enter the Haggis. She thrust a guitar into Brian’s hands, pulled him onstage, and the two just clicked. Four years and hundreds of shows later, the duo was booked to play a closing slot at a Colorado festival, so they hired a bass player and drummer to fill out their sound. By the oddest of coincidences, their hired bandmates’ flights were canceled the day of the show. A frantic Facebook post introduced Brian and Rose to local musician Caroline Browning, who joined them on bass for the weekend. Once again, the chemistry was undeniable, and House of Hamill became a trio. Today, Pennsylvania-based House of Hamill is a fixture on festival stages across the US, and the company has shared its music and stories on the country’s premier folk stages. Their version of “Pound a Week Rise” rose to #1 on the US Folk DJ charts, and the video for their all-violin cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” amassed over 16 million views on Facebook, where it was shared over 400,000 times. Their latest release, “Folk Hero,” captures perfectly the frenetic energy and eclecticism of their always engaging live show. A lively collection of original instrumentals, reimagined folk ballads, and new songs that showcase the trio’s versatility, “Folk Hero” is the third House of Hamill album to be funded entirely by their fans.   Whether they’re ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies into traditional folk ballads, or cracking up an audience with stories from the road, House of Hamill puts on a show that captivates audiences from the very first note.

Robert Burns Night & Scotch Whisky Tasting

In celebration of Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns is a whiskey tasting with a difference. You may have been to a Burns Supper before, or you may have been to one of our Whisky Tastings. Last year, we combined the two to create a delightful night that included some of ‘Burn’s most famous works and some of the best-tasting Single Malt Scotches. It was such a success that we are doing it again this year.
Like any Burns Supper, we will also include a sample of Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties. ” The Chieftain O the Puddin Race”
For those of you who prefer to drink something other than Scotch, we offer a Beer/Wine Ticket, which will provide you with 3 Beers or Glasses of wine and entertainment and food.
We will also feature Piping, Highland Dancing, Burns Songs and Poems, and a few other surprises, so this will be a truly Scottish Night.
You dont have to be Scottish to join in, everyone is welcome. You don’t need to wear the Kilt; this is an informal night where the people are the most important thing.
For something a little bit different, come along and join us for a Very Special Scottish Robert Burns Whisky Tasting.

Our Whisky Tastings are fun; they are informal and have no dress code. Come as you please. Everyone is welcome. Come and have a great night in the company of friends!
