Our special guests will be Wendy Malloy, co-chair of the Florida Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and Melissa Ransdell, a representative from Be SMART for Kids, a campaign launched to raise awareness about how to secure gun storage. Michele Rayner Goolsby will also join us as a candidate for Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

The Club will also have the North Pinellas County Democratic Club tote bags available for pickup by members who earned this reward in late 202. We will also have yard signs for sale at $20 each.

 

Due to the downtown Dunedin St. Patrick’s Day event, you may want to carpool or arrive early due to expected parking demands for the event.

This is the last week of the October Membership Initiative of the North Pinellas County Democratic Club (NPCDC).

  • All New Members who join during October 2021 will be a member for the rest of 2021 and all of 2022. You will also receive a NPCDC tote bag as a free gift.  Annual membership dues are $25.00. North Pinellas County Democratic Club

  • All Existing Members who renew during October 2021 will be a member for all of 2022 and will also receive a NPCDC tote bag as a free gift.  Annual membership dues are $25.00.

  • New Lifetime Members who join during October 2021 will also receive a NPCDC tote bag as a free gift.  Lifetime Membership dues are a one-time payment of $250.00.

This year we introduced a new Membership Type, the Household Member.  Any added person who joins at the same time as an original household member, with the same address, can join for only $15.00.  This new membership type is a permanent enhancement for our club.

North Pinellas Democratic Party

With COVID-19 cases dramatically increasing in Florida, the North Pinellas County Democratic Club wants to set a safe example and will hold its August monthly meeting via Zoom only.  The Zoom link will open on THURSDAY, AUGUST 19th at 6:30 pm for some social time.  The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.

We will focus on the re-districting process this month with two (2) guest speakers:

  • State Sen. Darryl Rouson was a prime mover behind the Florida Fair Districts Amendment in order to reduce the impact of gerrymandering districts.  We will listen with interest as he discusses the upcoming redistricting process.
  • Charlie Justice, Vice-Chair of the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners will discuss the redistricting process at the county level.

We will also communicate a Call to Action for how the club will be asking its members to support fair redistricting.

October is Domestic Violence Month — come hear our speakers and hear what you can do to support an increase in law enforcement treatment of domestic violence cases, which is surprisingly low in Pinellas County.

Speakers include Pat Riley-Sanderson, Director of Program Services for RCS Pinellas; Frieda Widera, Fatality Review Team Chairperson for Pinellas County Domestic Violence Task Force; and Kathryn Adikes, Volunteer and Event Chair for North Pinellas Mom’s Demand Action.
