Join DFAC in conversation with Rachel Simmons, celebrated artist and Rollins College professor, and hear her speak about her engaging projects. “The Language of Watching” is a project informed by the artist’s research into the social/political ramifications of bird representations in field guides, the history and culture of birdwatching, and the relationships between birdwatchers and birds, and more broadly speaking, between humans and the natural environment. FLOCK, a socially engaged art project, has evolved since 2015 to include over 200 community participants across the US. Click here to learn more about this and other DFAC events.

Rotary Club Of Dunedin – Rotary Casino Night

Casino Night includes the following – casino games run by a professional company, music, and DJ, food (by Chef Davis), fun and libations.

Ticket sales are limited to the first 300, so please buy your tickets early.

Rotarians are dedicated to Service and the Rotary Club of Dunedin raises $25,000 to $30,000 a year for charitable giving for the good of our local citizens in the form of Scholarships for Dunedin High School seniors and Grants to local 501(c)3 organizations. Our Grants Committee meets three times a year and typically donates $6,000 each term (3 to 6 grants).  The Scholarship Committee meets once a year to give scholarships to deserving DHS students, through the Pinellas Education Foundation.   In addition to these local donations, we also give to international projects around the world and to eradicate Polio worldwide.

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Dunedin, I am asking you to help us raise these funds by becoming a CASINO Sponsor. 100% of the proceeds (after expenses) will be used for charitable giving in Dunedin.

Dunedin Youth Guild 49th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, the Dunedin Youth Guild will host the 49th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes. This year’s theme is “Christmas in Our Town” and is reflected in the six Dunedin homes, the recently expanded Dunedin History Museum and the newly renovated historic Fenway Hotel that are all included in this year’s tour.  Proceeds from this event benefit the Dunedin Youth Guild’s youth scholarship program and other youth-focused community improvement projects.

Advance tickets are available for $25.00 around the town of Dunedin:  Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, Dunedin Community Center, Hale Center, Dunedin History Museum and Dunedin Fine Art Center.   Advance tickets are also available for purchase online at our website:  https://dunedinyouthguild.org.  Tickets can be purchased for $30.00 the day of the event at Mease Manor, 700 Mease Drive, in Dunedin.  The tours are open from 10 am to 3:30 pm and the Holiday Tea is open from 11 am to 3:30 pm.   Visit our website at www.dunedinyouthguild.org, like us on Facebook (Dunedin Youth Guild), or call us at 727-734-0394 to get up-to-date information.  We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Holiday Tour of Homes!
