Dunedin Youth Guild’s Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show

The Dunedin Youth Guild will host their Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Road, in Dunedin.  Doors open for a social hour at 11:00 am and lunch will be served at noon.

Additionally, there will be door prizes and many opportunities will be available to purchase tickets for beautiful items donated by members, generous merchants, and friends of the Dunedin Youth Guild.

The theme for this year’s Fashion Show is “Blooms of Hope” with fashions provided by Suncoast Hospice.  Guests will also enjoy a refreshing lunch catered by Palate Culinary Services.

The cost is $35.00 per person and reserved tickets can be purchased from any Dunedin Youth Guild member, by calling 727-734-0394, or online by visiting www.dunedinyouthguild.org.  Seating is limited so early ticket purchases are advised.  This event helps support the Scholarship Program for Dunedin students.

Songwriting Workshop

Learn from Dr. Graeme Currie (Grammy & Oscar artist, and composer of the musical “Hometown”) the fundamentals most songwriters miss when creating their own works.

Be prepared to absorb and take notes: This is a 5-week program condensed into one 3-hour workshop!

This comprehensive program empowers the contemporary musician with a knowledge of the craft of songwriting encompassing the components of rhythm, harmony, melody, lyric, and form. The examination, arrangement, and application of contemporary musical repertoire and how successful songwriting techniques can positively affect the student’s creative work.

Open to all levels of music lovers – being able to read music may be helpful but is not required.

This year’s theme is “Christmas in Our Town” and is reflected in the six Dunedin homes, the recently expanded Dunedin History Museum and the newly renovated historic Fenway Hotel that are all included in this year’s tour.  Proceeds from this event benefit the Dunedin Youth Guild’s youth scholarship program and other youth-focused community improvement projects.
