Peace Pole Showcase: Peace in Action

The three Rotary Clubs of Dunedin (Dunedin, Dunedin Waterside, and Dunedin North) invite everyone to attend their annual ceremony for the Peace Pole, which is located at the Dunedin Community Center. Local artwork will be on display, and local youth will perform music. Dunedin City Manager Jennifer K. Bramley will be the guest speaker. The Peace Pole is outdoors at the Dunedin Community Center, between the facility and the pond.

This event is presented by The Rotary Club of Dunedin, the Rotary Club of Dunedin Waterside, and the Rotary Club of Dunedin North.

Dunedin Youth Guild’s 51st Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show

The Dunedin Youth Guild will host their 51st Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Road, in Dunedin.

This year’s Fashion Show theme is “Fashioning Dreams,” with fashions provided by Suncoast Hospice.  Guests can shop in the “Hospice Shop” in the lobby of the Dunedin Community Center from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, so arrive early to get some fantastic deals on beautiful garments and accessories.  Guests can enter the main event room at 9:00 am, and the Luncheon / Fashion Show will begin at 11:30 am.  Fashion Show guests will enjoy a refreshing lunch catered by Palate Culinary Services.  There will be door prizes and many opportunities to purchase tickets for beautiful items donated by members, generous merchants, and friends of the Dunedin Youth Guild.

Tickets start at $40.00 per person, and reserved tickets can be purchased from any Dunedin Youth Guild member by calling 727-734-0394 or visiting www.dunedinyouthguild.org.  Seating is limited, so early ticket purchases are advised.  (Special Highland Tables with preferred seating are also available for $45.00 per person.)

Join us to promote world peace from the ground up!

Rotary has a long history of promoting peace and addressing the underlying causes of conflict around the world. This initiative serves as a partnership between the City of Dunedin and our three Dunedin Rotary clubs to continue this tradition.

The beacon will serve as a promise that we do our part to keep the project’s message, “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” alive and well.
