The campsite will feature British soldiers from the King’s 60th Regiment and Brown’s East Florida Loyalists\, offering a unique perspective on those who fought against the Patriots. Visitors can also step inside George Washington’s headquarters tent and experience daily life during the war through engaging activities\, including marching and musket firing demonstrations\, candle making\, and period toy activities. \nThis special event will feature a live reenactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence\, “A Conversation Before Signing\,” written by Michael Cote. Portraying George Washington is Steve Beaty\, Chair of the Dunedin History Museum Board\, bringing added depth and local connection to this powerful moment in history. The performance captures the tension\, significance\, and spirit of one of the most defining moments in American history.
