Dunedin Metal Artist Featured on History Channel

The Institute for Creative Arts, at 968 Douglas Ave., is most well known for the creative custom bicycle racks found around Dunedin, including the “Squid” bike rack commissioned by DCO in 2015. Recently, their resident artist blade smith, Francesco Muci, was selected to appear on The History Channels newest hit show “Forged in Fire”. Francesco specializes in custom knifes and “Damascus Steel”

Francesco flew to New York for the show’s filming last week. He competed against three other knife makers for a chance to win $10,000 and will be highlighted by the History Channel. The show will be aired, nationally, sometime in the next few months.

DCO February Breakfast Meeting is a Triple Play!!

Did you know the song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” is a 1908 Tin Pan Alley song written by Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer, although neither of its authors OO8eazkQhad attended a game prior to writing the song? Why should you care?  Because baseball, specifically Toronto Blue Jay’s baseball, is the feature at this month’s DCO breakfast. Staying in the same ballpark, our spotlight will be on the Dunedin Youth League.
